Description
With the advent of the Savior by the power of the Holy Spirit, God set in motion the fulfillment of the divine plan of salvation. Luke’s Gospel, several psalms, and the epistle to the Galatians explore God’s ongoing actions in blessing and reconciling the whole creation.
UNIT 1 • THE SAVIOR IS BORN: The four lessons in this unit are developed from the Gospel of Luke. Lessons 1 and 2 offer a study of how Mary, a virgin, received and joyfully accepted the announcement that she had been highly favored by God to give birth to His Son and the story of her cousin Elisabeth’s affirmation of the same. Lesson 3 studies John’s mission as the forerunner of the Savior. The Christmas Day lesson deals with the birth of Jesus and the circumstances and events pursuant to it.
UNIT 2 • ALL CREATION PRAISES GOD: The five lessons in this unit employ five psalms. Several psalms emphasize praise for God that emanates from creation itself. Others invite us to praise God for creation.
UNIT 3 • THE CHURCH IS BORN: The four lessons in this unit will focus on Galatians, in which God’s creative process can be seen through the birthing of a new faith community with Jesus Christ as its foundation. The lessons address the importance of spiritual freedom, cooperation, and righteous living in building and maintaining the community.
Inteen® Student Magazine gives students (ages 15–17) a fresh perspective on biblical truths. Each quarter, the 13-week lesson curriculum is paired with poems, practical advice, real-life stories, book reviews, and more to inspire teens to continue their spiritual growth and draw closer to Christ.
¥ God’s Word is presented in interesting ways—book reviews, real-life stories, and thoughtful articles show teens how they can relate to Bible truths.
¥ Teens read about peers with relevant situations—drugs, gangs, love, school—and learn how to cope with such problems with God’s help.
¥ Teens are given ways to demonstrate that they understand the Bible principles presented.
